Do you need a dentist qualification to apply tooth gems?

No. In France, applying tooth gems without altering the enamel (reversible adhesive application) is not a restricted medical procedure. However, specialised training is strongly recommended for safety and quality of result. Ma Formation Strass offers complete online training with a Swarovski kit included for €299.

How long does a tooth gem last?

A Swarovski tooth gem lasts between 6 months and 2 years depending on the quality of the application, oral hygiene and the absence of impact on the area. The application itself takes about 30 minutes.

What is the average price of a tooth gem application in France?

In a practice or specialised salon, expect €50 to €120 for a Swarovski application. Applying it yourself with the complete Ma Formation Strass kit (€299), the cost per application drops to €5–€15 once the training is amortised over 10 applications or more.

Does the application damage tooth enamel?

No, when the protocol is followed. Etching uses 37% phosphoric acid in line with the orthodontic protocol (the same as braces). Removal is reversible and leaves no trace on the enamel.

Which crystals does Ma Formation Strass use?

Exclusively authentic Swarovski flat back crystals (references 2058 Round, 2200 Navette, 2808 Heart). No Chinese copies or budget Preciosa.

Is the training suitable for beginners?

Yes. The training is designed for beauticians, nail technicians, passionate individuals and wellbeing professionals looking to add a service. No dental prerequisites.

What does the €299 complete kit contain?

The kit includes: Swarovski crystals of your choice, professional dental composite, applicator, tweezers, pumice paste, etching gel, bonding agent, portable UV lamp, PDF guide + access to the training videos.

How many applications can you do with one kit?

With the complete kit: 10 applications included (crystals supplied). The consumables (composite, gel, bonding) then allow up to 30–40 further applications if you buy the crystals separately.
